In 2008, local businessmen David Hall (Deltec Homes) and Matt Johnson (BioWheels) came to Meals On Wheels with an idea to organize a charity bike ride to benefit the local nonprofit. The Wheel Ride For Food was born! The first year attracted 133 cyclists and raised almost $30,000. Year two brought in 190 cyclists and over $22,000 to support Meals On Wheels of Asheville-Buncombe County. This year's Wheel Ride promises to be bigger than ever!!!
