Beginners Road Ride this weekend...

Hosted by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club:

Saturday June 26: NOVICE CYCLISTS Road Ride (17 mi)
Departs 9:00am from Quotations Coffee shop, located on Main Street in downtown Brevard.
Please park in the Public parking lot behind The Comporium telephone company building.
Quotations opens at 7:00 am on Saturday if you want breakfast before the ride.

Our Club member, Gary Lightfoot, has developed a very easy, flat ride that is very scenic.
The route we will be riding: along bike paths in Brevard, out Highway 276 to the Ranger
station in the Pisgah National Forest, the shady flat roads in the Davidson River Campground,
and return to Downtown Brevard for a total of about 17 miles. As an option, Archer will be
leading a group for climbers up to the Looking Glass Waterfalls for an additional 8 miles.
This optional ride will have a steady climb from the Ranger Station.

Be sure to bring a generous amount of water ( 2 water bottles preferred), a tube that fits
your tires, sun screen, and Bicycle helmets are mandatory.

We will have a lunch stop option at the end of the ride at one of the delightful restaurants
on Main Street in Brevard. There will be water and rest rooms at the ranger station.
For INFORMATION or turn-by-turn route directions, contact Archer Yates at swifty6@me.com

DIRECTIONS: Take Airport Road South from I-26 to Brevard. In downtown Brevard turn Left
on Main Street and go 3 blocks. Quotations is on the left and Comporium is on the right.
Asheville to Brevard distance is 33 miles.
