Novice Road Ride Saturday, Oct 23

Saturday October 23

Novice Bicycle Ride: Lake Logan
Departs promptly 10:30am from Canton Recreation Park in Canton.
We'll have three options:
a short 17 mile flat ride (Bethel Loop), a 25 mile ride (includes Lake Logan),
and a 31 mile ride (includes Lake Logan and Little East Fork).
There is no cue sheet but it is a simple out and back route with a modified return.
After riding up to Lake Logan we will take a side trip up the Little East Fork,
a 7 mile  undiscovered jewel of a bike route. The only motorized vehicle we saw
was some guy on a motor scooter. We stopped at the end of the pavement but wanted
to continue on the hard pack as it was very rideable. The route is a gradual
ascent that is most noticeable on the downhill return.
Be sure to let us know if you plan to come and let us know which route you want
to take. Be sure to bring 2 water bottles and some snacks. There are no facilities
after we pass US 276. We will need some ride guides to help in case of a puncture
and a bit of guidance for our new riders.
If you have any concerns or questions, give me a call.
