The Blue Ridge Bicycle Club (BRBC) and Bike-Pedestrian Task Force will have a bike lane clean-up on Thursday, Sept. 2nd from 9-12 in conjunction with the United Way Day of Caring. We will have a group of volunteers from Mission Hospitals joining us for the project and it would be great to have members of the bike club working alongside them. We will meet at the Clingman Ave. Café (River Arts District) between 8:15-8:30 for those who want to join us for breakfast - extra parking is available across from the café in the gravel lots by the RR tracks. The BRBC will provide breakfast at Clingman Café for volunteers. Meet us at 9:00 at café parking lot if you aren't coming earlier for breakfast. Please bring gloves, shovels, brooms, clippers if you have them. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and be prepared for sun or rain. Come help keep the bike lane clean and safe for all who use it. Call 253-3303 for more information.
