Will begin promptly 9:00am from the parking lot of The Charleston Gardens Condominiums, across
the street from The Wrinkled Egg , 2710 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock. There is a dumpster at the
back end of the lot.
Flat Rock is a Historic town, home to the rich and famous, The Flat Rock Playhouse, and The Carl
Sandburg Home, A National Historic Site. Our bike route will take you along some small shady
winding little roads past grand estates, and private lakes. There should be very little traffic on these roads.
The route is an out and back route so you will have several options. The first option is for 16 miles,
with very flat riding. The 2nd option will be 20 miles with more climbing. The final option is for 27 miles
with some challenging hills. It should be a cool day and great time to do some hills.
There will be leaders and ride guides with you for each of the rides.
There are some great choices for lunch at the end of the ride, They are: The Back Room, The Village Bakery,

DIRECTIONS: I-26 East ,past Hendersonville. Take exit 53 Upward Road. At end of ramp turn right on
Upward road, continue on Upward road to cross Spartanburg Highway- US 176 - Upward road then
becomes Highland Lake Road. Continue until you come to a T-intersection with Greenville Highway
( North Carolina 225 south). Turn left and go 1.3 miles to W. Blue Ridge Road. Look for " Wrinkled Egg"sign .
Turn left onto Blue Ridge Road and parking lot will be on your left.
Please notice, we are not to park in the parking lots for the restaurants.
